Best surgeon to use if paying cash for surgery

I am looking for a surgeon that accepts cash for lap band surgery. I am also wondering how long the process is once you make contact with the surgeons office. Do they refer to you to other doctors for the required testing?

Hi Traci, My surgeon, Dr Christopher Hart does lap band surgery. He does cash for rny surgery so I would assume he would also for lap banders. Dr. Paul Macik is my surgeon. He is really wonderful. Once I decided to have the surgery they gave my all the referals for the doctors to have my testing done and I got all that done and had my surgery in two weeks. It was a really speedy process. His # is 404-252-2220.

Personally, if I had to self pay I would probably use Dr Champion. I have several WLS friends that have used him and have goods things to say about him. Once you pay, you are a life time member and from what I understand would have access to the nutritionist, etc. Good Luck, Tonya
