I'm looking at using Dr.Proctor's office for my WLS...Recommendations?

I'm looking for a good surgeon to do my surgery. This is the 4th doc I've checked out, Can anyone share any experiences with me good or bad. So far the other doctors have had pending lawsuits, or have had their licenses revoke before. Thank you all so much for helping!!!! Michelle

I had surgery with Dr. Proctor on 11/22/04. I cannot say enough good things about him, his staff, his program, his support and his aftercare. I think he is the BEST

My WLS surgeon is Dr. Paul Macik and I think he is wonderful. He is a great surgeon and a very caring person. His office staff is also very helpful. His office is over by Northside Hospital.

Michelle, Good for you for checking Drs out!! Dr Proctor and Dr Richard (his partner) have both come VERY highly recommended to me. I live near Columbus and think nothing of driving that far to a surgeon that I know has my best interest in mind. While I've met both Dr Procter and Dr Richard I chose Dr Richard as my surgeon...just a personal preference..no other reason. I personally know 5-6 people who have used one of these Drs and without fail they have all raved about not only the Drs but the office staff and hospital and hosp staff as well. I've already attended the public informational forum, the educational class at the hospital and I've already had my initial consult. I go next Tuesday for the psych evaluation and hope to have my surgery by the end of August. Good luck in choosing a Dr. It's a very personal decision and regardless of what anyone says for or against a Dr, he/she needs to be someone that you have 100% confidence in.

Dr. Proctor and Richard are the greatest Drs. I have ever met. They are so caring and so is the staff. Had surgery April of '05 If you have any ?s e-mail me. Kwan

I can't say enough to express my respect and admiration for Drs. Procter and Richard. They are great professionals with very good personalities, and they are very-very nice and decent people. Their program is exceptional, their support system is well thought out, and their professional skills are beyond reproach. I hardly ever like Doctors, but I do like Dr. Procter and Dr. Richard best wishes to you
