Req info on MD's and Plastic Surgeons

Hello Everyone, My name is Natalie George and I am post-op 6months open gastric bypass . I have lost 64lbs so far and will need to find new bariatric MD to follow up with and Plastic MD to help me out after a year post op. My husband and I along with our 21 mth old twins are relocateing to Lawrenceville, Georgia. I had great MD Bariatric team and the also did plastic surgery also. I was planning to have some done after a year post-op, but I will not be in the New Jersey area. Can anyone recommend a MD that I could follow up with and a Plastic Surgeon ? Is it possible to have insurance pay for my plastic surgery???? I have some friends in the area, but I know nothing about where we are moving to. Childcare information is also something I could use advice on. Any advice is appreciated thank you. Natalie

My WLS surgeon is Dr. Paul Macik and he is really wonderful. I also used Dr. Ashraf for my PS. I think you will find most people in the Atlanta area have used her for post WLS PS. She did my tummy tuck, breast lift and arm lift a few months ago and did an amazing job and she is really sweet.

Bonnie, do you mind me asking if your Insurance Co. paid for any of this? I am 14mo. post op & I want a tummy tuck & breast lift so bad. Thanks. Tammy Gunter

No, my isurance didn't pay for any of mine. They do cover tummy tucks if you have a certain amount of sagging skin that hangs to a certain point but I didn't qualify. I think most companies have certain requirements.

I don't know much about PCP's in the area but I also used Dr. Ashraf for my TT - I LOVE LOVE LOVE this woman!!!!
