Promises.....Promises.....

Post Date: 7/17/06 10:14 am Gosh you know I am an upbeat person almost 24/7, but this process is really making me TIRED! I get so tired of getting my hopes up, only to have someone disappoint me yet again. I started this process back in March '05, and all insurance companies said it should be a quick YES for approval....well that ran on until September '05, when they denied me due to not having a 6 month supervised diet..........(which they never told me I needed..and I could have started in March).........so I complete that....get that submitted to them....and WAIT, yet AGAIN....only to have my insurance say ok fine you can have lap-band.......ummm..... NOT what I want and need....so that was a curve ball......then I go to get my surgeons office to help me fight my insurance and my husbands insurance changes to BCBS...and they cover it and promise to give quick approval anywhere from 48 hours to 5 days, they promise I will have an answer..... so......I tell my insurance company that news and they agree to put in writing that they will pay all remaining expenses if I allow my husbands insurance to be my new primary........ok sounds great.......so July 1st BCBS goes into effect and my surgeons office STILL hasnt sent my packet in to them....its just once excuse after another....granted I know a holiday fell in there someone but GAH LEE..........this is my life hanging in the balance here..... I feel like my family thinks Im crazy, cause I keep sayin....I should be able to have surgery by next month...then that month passes and Im still waiting. so with that said my surgeons office contact SWEARS she is submitting today........please God let this finally happen....Im trying to be patient but good heavens how patient can one person be ?!?!?!? Some of my required test will expire when they reach the one year mark and for most of those that is this month or next. You guys please pray for me! and thanks for listening to me VENT!

Hi Pam... I am sorry that you are having difficulties with your doctor but, what ever you do, don't let the one year window of opportunity pass you by because if it should you will have to start all over again. Have you considered changing docs? No offense, but, you are right, its your life hanging in the loop, not theirs.... Good luck and I do hope things progress the way that you want them to go. Crece

you are right...............Dr Duncans office is known as being AWESOME....which they always have been...... They did get me submitted yesterday........now I get to be a pest to BCBS until they answer.... yeah my fear is that one year deadline.... thanks for the reply
