Need personal recommendations

I have been on this journey now for 7 months. I do not praticularly need WLS, but was told by very prominent Atlanta surgeon, or so I thought, Dr if I wanted to live I needed WLS. After 3 consults with this dr and about $20,000 worth of test he got mad at me for asking about his telephone help, said I was *(*(**(^*^^, and that he was dismissing me from his practise and his Uninversity. Now I am still vomiting bile daily, still pain in my esophagus and out about 7 months of normal life. I would like names of doctors on the east side of Atlanta, Snellville, Decatur, Dunwoody etc. Thanks for any help you might be able to provide

My WLS surgeon is Dr. Macik. His office is by Northside Hospital and he is wonderful.

Depending on the entire situation, it sounds like you might want to check in on getting some legal advice about all the time and money you tied up with this doctor. It sounds liked he just took advantage of you and your situation & that thinks he's above the "law" & "god-like". I know you don't want to use him now, but you ought to get some type of compensation for expenses that you will have to have again to go see someone else. He shouldn't have been able to rudely dismiss you that way just cause he got pissed off. I hope it's not my doc. Doc Burrowes has been totally wonderful! It sounds like you've got someone out of the Emory Univ Hosp group based on being dismissed from his practice & university. The way it sounds, it may have been a GOD-send that he's not doing your surgery. He doesn't sound like he's very competent, and he sure wouldn't have a good bedside manner. Just curious, are you a self pay? Would he be the type of person to milk you &/or your insurance and then look for a reason to get rid of you? I'm not an advocate on suing people just to get some money, but I am an advocate for suing someone to show them that they can't just do whatever & get away with it. In your situation I think the following should be considered: ETHICS, INTEGRITY, PREJUDICE, QUALITY OF SERVICE, & PATIENT RIGHTS. I CAN'T STAND IT WHEN PEOPLE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OTHER PEOPLE JUST CAUSE THEY THINK THEY CAN !! I just thought of something. ALL HOSPITALS HAVE PATIENT ADVOCATES , AND THIS MAY BE A STEP YOU COULD USE TO BEGIN LEGAL ACTION!
