New Picture!
Thanks Dee Dee! Other than a few small problems, I feel WONDERFUL! I am so glad I had the wls. I havent felt this good about myself in YEARS! The only problem I am having is that the weight is still coming off. I am so scared that folks are going to think I am anorexic. I have been trying to maintain, but my body says, "NOPE, not gonna happen!" I never thought I would say those words! lol
One more thing, Dee Dee, you are an inspirtation to a lot of us. I know you are too me! Keep up the good work!
Much love!
oh gosh I'm blushing. Thank you for the compliment. I just try to keep it real on how and what can happen.
As far as your weight loss goes you should start seeing a drastic slow down soon as you approach your year anniversary. Your body could continue to loose upwards of 18 months or more depending on your metabolism. I'm certainly not a doctor - so my suggestion would be to express these concerns to your doctor and see what he would recommend for you to maintain. Do you journal your food intake? You could seriously not be eating enough. At this stage your body should be able to handle about 1200 - 1500 calories a day sufficiently to maintain. I'm 26 months PO and I maintain around 1800 cal a day - but I also work out for hours on end.....(both cardio and strength training) so I burn between 500 - 700 cal a day.
Keep me posted what the doctor says and I will keep you in my prayers that things level off for you soon if you're at your goal.
You look fantastic and I know you look happy with the results!

I seriously don't think I am getting enough protein. There are only a few things that I can tolerate for snacks and meals. But there is only so much chicken one can eat!!!! I stopped keeping up with my food journal about 6 months ago. One of the doctors that I see at my surgeons office told me not to worry about calories, just focus on protein. I know I need to get back to it.
Thanks again! Your awesome!

Its funny, everytime I see myself in the mirror, I wonder, "who is THAT?!?!!?!" I feel so much better. Hubby tells me that I look like my high school pictures, but more "mature", lol Think that was his way of saying "older", lol
You look WONDERFUL! Its amazing to see before and after pictures. We all look like different people now! hahahaha
Take care!
Kimberly
