Stone Mountain Park Challenge......
Ok, so here's the deal. We are going to Stone Mountain in July, right? Ok, well, as some of you know one of my "goals" after surgery was to be able to hike all the way up Stone Mountain....no tram....WALKING. So, my challenge is THIS....I want to hike Stone Mountain that day and I want all of you to join me in this challenge. At 336 pounds, I would have never even rode the tram to the top of Stone Mountain because I was so afraid that my weight would be a problem for me ( I know, it's stupid BUT, well, you all know what I mean). So I confess on this day that I have never seen the beautiful sight of the top of Stone Mountain AT ALL. I have missed out on this because I was disabled by my weight. So when we all meet at Stone Mountain Park this month I AM hiking that mountain...in more ways than one. Who with me????????
P.S. I am thinking about getting a newscrew to come out if I can as publicity to get the law passed NEXT session so that anyone whos wants this life saving surgery will be granted that right....the God given right of LIFE. Opinions on that?
Post on here if you are with me and I will keep track.
Love y'all,
Shree

Shree-hiking up stone mountain is an accomplishment in itself! In fact...I've never hiked it...I ran AROUND it once...there's a 5 mile loop around the mountain.
I have hiked up the mountain many times. You can go at your own pace. It's really fun and beautiful. There is a great bbq restaurant on the back side where you hike up. Where are we going to meet? I'm bringing the hubby and son.
What time and does anyone have ideas about a place they have lots of picnic areas...
BTW I have hit a two week stall again and I have found my appetite is enormous lately which is probably contributing to the stall. I really have to start the exercise.

Hey Shree!
What time are you doing it? I jog around or go up the mountain on the weekend. I can meet you if you plan to do it early that day. Up the mountain is 1.5 miles and around is 5 miles. I know how you feel. I was afraid of the mountain and now I can get up in about 15-20 mins! I love climbing it! It is a great feeling of accomplishment!
Let me know.
