Henry County Support Group Coming

I know I talked about doing this in the past, and I know I haven't been posting a lot lately, but I do check in from time to time. I'm working on starting a support group in Henry County at Henry Medical Center. I'm working out the details this week. I'll keep you all posted. I know we NEED a group on this side of Atlanta. I'm thinking about having the meetings on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm. Would this work for most of you? Just let me know. I would also like to reprot to HMC how many people from this board would be interested in attending. They will market the group in the HMC literature as well to help get the word out. Once I become an OH chapter leader, we can market on this site as well. I am really looking forward to this. Talk to you guys soon, Stephanie 350+/175/199

It sounds great - unfortunately as much as I would love tocome I cant because I teach every Thursday night and my class starts at 6:15. Good luck to you!

I have gotten some feedback about the date and time....once I meet with the HMC folks, I'll know better when we can have the meeting. It will depend on what is available. I'm meeting with them at 2pm on Friday. So, hopefully, I'll have something to post then. Thank you all for expressing your interest.

That is great Stephanie. I am currently working on finalizing all of my records so my doctor can send in the letter to my insurance carrier. The HMC location is so convenient! I know I will attend and my aunt had surgery almost 1 1/2 years ago and I am sure I could convince her to join me. Count us in! :-)

What did you find out about a support group in Henry County? We just arrived here yesterday and plan to live in Peach Tree City, Douglasville or Mcdonough. Would love to be a part of a support group, I am 3 mths post-op. Amy

I'm still working on this. the lady who heads up the support group meeting organizational stuff has been out for a while with family issues. She should be back this week, and I can get everything finalized. Thank you for your interest.
