When you think of having weight loss surgery, you think, WOW, I'll feel a hell of a lot better once I get this weight off WRONG. I found out last Friday (June 30th) that I now have reflux, which has been causing my nausea for almost 7 months, and now I DO NOT know what the hell to eat, even yogurt makes me sick. Dr. Gryboski upped my protonix to 2x a day for 2 weeks because he said my stomach was inflamed from the acid, but NO MATTER WHAT I EAT, I still get sick. David says to give it a few more days to see if it helps before I give up. I have my RX of phenagrin (sp) that I am taking as well, because I get so sick. I'm at a loss on what to eat, because they said NO spicy, acidic foods. Well that pretty much leave mexican out and chrystal light because it has citric acid in it.............HELLLLLLLLLLLLLP, What am I to do? Any of you that has reflux PLEASE tell me kinda what you eat. Melissa 241.5/153/150

Get some Campbell's French Onion Soup, mix it one can to one can (or weaker if you like it weaker), heat it to boiling then take ONE ladle full, put it in the bowl and then add some Finely shredded ITALIAN (this is impt KRAFT (also impt to the recipe ) . You can put how much or how little cheese you want. It is very YUMMY, almost liquid with the extra protein of the cheese, very filling, but light. I eat this pretty much every day. I hope things get better for you. Shree

Try some instant grits. Use the same amount of water (or skim milk) that the pack calls for, add one raw egg, shredded cheese (if you want), and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Add more water/milk if it's too thick. It's smooth, filling, full of calcium (if you use milk/cheese), and has protein (without that nasty powdered stuff). I like doing instant grits this way (with the egg) all the time because it makes them a lot creamier. My great-grandma got our whole family hooked on instant grits with an egg mixed in. Another option is take a can of cream of chicken soup, put it in the blender and puree really well with a can of milk, heat in microwave 2-4 minutes. Milk gives you some calcium & protein. Blender grinds up the chicken so that it's smooth going down like a drink. You can do the same with chicken noodle soup also. Another choice is tomato soup - no blender - can of soup, can of skim milk, mix, heat 2-4 minutes in microwave, add cheese if you want & enjoy! "Homemade" potato soup. Take 1/2 cup water, 1 cup milk, 4 tbsp mashed potato flakes, 2 baby carrots, sprinkle of butter flavor (1/4 tsp butter if you want), 1/2 tsp onion bits, salt/pepper to taste. Mix all ingredients in a blender until fine puree, heat in microwave 2-4 minutes, & enjoy. These are some of the things I'll begin on at post-op after doc okays. Hope some of these help! They're all really good even if you're not "dieting". My whole family enjoys these quick & easy micro meals! Hopefully these will taste good & not make you !
