Just moved to McDonough, Ga!

Hi Ya'll. I am a Ga. native but have been gone for a while. I wanted to pop in and say hello. I am spending my 5th night in my new house here in McDonough! So far I love it!!!!! I am 20 months post-op and guess what... 5 months pregnant. We are so happy and feel so blessed that we are going to have a baby. I know it couldn't have happened without Gastric Bypass Surgery! I have only gained 5 pounds and it is all baby! I get hungry every 2-3 hours but it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Anyway... do you know if there is a support group located in Henry County? I would love to attend! I need to get back into the groove of things. Even though I'm pregnant doesn't mean I can be like other pregnant women. I am still a bariatric patient and I have to remind myself that sometimes! Hope to get some responses from you all! Happy 4th of July weekend! Jennifer Wright

Hi Jennifer, Congratulations on your pregnancy...how blessed you will be with that child We are also moving to Georgia on July 17th. We are looking into buying or renting in Mcdonough or Douglasville areas. My hubby will be stationed at Mcpherson. How do you like it there so far? Hi...welcome to Henry County! I'm in McDonough too. I'm in the process of starting a support group in Stockbridge at Henry medical center. Once I get the details worked out, I'll let everyone know. I have to go over policies and procedures for the hospital in order to get it started. I'm thinking about Thursday evenings at 6:30pm. Would that work for everyone? I'll post this on the main board too.

Kewl! I will definately be involved with the support group. I think there will be plenty of people who will attend. I don't get off wor****il 6 pm and I work in morrow so 6:30 would be pushing it. Our support group we had in fayetteville, n.C. Was always at 7 pm and lasted about an hour. Hope to hear more about it soon. Jennifer

Who is running this support group and which surgeon

I am organizing the support group. I'm working with folks at Henry Medical Center to get it started. It won't be affiliated with a particular surgeon. I just know we need a group on this side of Atlanta. I'm knew to this...so, y'all bear with me. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to answer your questions...
