Hey all...I am pre-op with Dr. Hart. I went to my endocrinologist today and he agreed to write my support letter. He said that he definetly thinks the surgery is a good idea. This will make my second letter...one from the primary doc and then one from him. I go for the sleep apnea test on July 22 and I am not looking forward to that at all....not sure why...I guess my own bed is always better. Would love to hear from some new post op patients... and older ones too....talk to you soon Krissy

Krissy, When you do go for your sleep test, take your pillow with you. I have had the sleep test done several times (twice before I considered WLS and once this year), and nothing can be better than having your own pillow with you. If you like, please review my post on 6/19/06 about how my life has changed since I had my RNY surgery. Good luck. Norma

Krissy, I had my RNY done last year in March with Dr. Hart. I loved the office staff, him and the whole process was wonderful. I didn't have to do the sleep study, but the other pre-op I had to do. The part I dreaded the most was the ABGs, but even that wasn't too bad. Look on my profile for a step by step travel to surgery. I havent posted much afterwards, but currently I am 119 lbs. I weighed 232 before and it has been a little over a year. I feel great and am having no complications so far and am as happy as I could imagine after my surgery. Good luck and if you have any questions, please feel free to email me or write back. D'Lynn Rogers 232/119

I had RNY with Dr. Hart last October - he and his staff are wonderful. Very caring and knowledgable. Best of luck to you - you've selected the finest surgeon, in my opinion. Kelly G~
