Hey folks...I'm in search of a PCP who's an advocate for WLS. I don't have a steady PCP. Other than my weight, I haven't suffered from the comorbities that are usually associated with excessive weight. I have an OB/GYN, but I've only been a patient for a year. Thanks in advance.... Ms. E~

Hi, Erica. I'd like to have this information as well. My current PCP is most definitely NOT WLS-friendly. An office close to Kennestone Hospital would be ideal. Also, do you mind if I ask who your OB/GYN is? Mine closed her office, and it's coming up time for my yearly workup. Thanks! Jaynie

My Ob/Gyn is great but it takes a while to get into her office if you use her. Dr. Laurie Robbins...She's in Kennesaw. It takes about 4 months to get an appointment with her but to me its worth it. There are several other dr's in the practice I just haven't had any experience with them. But I assume they are all as good. It is a very new office with all the latest technology. I was impressed with the tables because they are low enough to sit on then they raise them up and being short and round that was wonderful to me. The # is 770-427-0285. Hope this helps.

Hey....I am currently not using this PCP but my OB/GYN said if my PCP isn't WLS friendly that she really likes Dr. Barbara Biggs that she is very WLS friendly if you qualify for the surgery as in if you need it vs if you just want it. She is in Kennesaw. Her # is 770-424-2226.

Hiya! I am feeling pretty good-I THINK! Apparantly, I saw the gastro on Friday and was told I had one of the worst cases of C-diff he ever saw. My "bowels" were feeling fine, and I finish antiobiotics tomorrow at noon. I'm a little freaked, b/c I added some new foods in my diet at lunch (was on a soft diet-which is a lot different that the soft diet for RNY). I could eat everything except diary, raw produce, and caffeine. I was stupid and had all 3 today. I got the poopy monster-so I don't know if it's the C-diff acting up, or the fact I hadn't had these foods in 11 days. Gross, I know. I'm a little freaked b./c there is an anti-biotic resistant strand of C-diff floating around. I get tested again in a week. Let's hope it's cleared out. If not, I'll be looking at several months of treatment.
