Moving to Atrlanta area next month....

Hi there, My huisband is in the military and we will be moving to Georgia next month. He will be stationed at Ft. Mcpherson, but we plan to live in Peach tree city, feyettville, or douglasville. I am wondering where I look to find a bariatric surgeon to follow up with. I am currently 2 months post-op and will be here for my 3 mth appointment, so...I will have 3 months to find a doctor when we get there! (for my 6 mth check up) Any help would be so appreciated

Welcome to Hot'lanta, Amy! Have you asked your WLS doc if s/he has a professional referral relationship already established with some of the bariatric surgeons here? That might be the smoothest way to transition. Sounds like you'll be in the "south metro" part of the sprawl, & my knowledge tilts toward the north metro as I'm "up" here in Roswell. Bariatric surgeons with hospital privileges at Emory, Crawford Long, or Piedmont hospitals are likely to have offices nearby & those hospitals are all in the downtown part of Atlanta. All the best!
