Ok here goes a little background. I stayed very tired and give out before surgery. I do have depression that is regulated by meds. (effexor xr, I was on 225mg before surger, now on 75mg) I figured that the tiredness was due to the weight (241.5) and the dosage of effexor at the time, but I am almost 9 months post-op and I still have the same tiredness if not worse everyday, some days better than others. My sister says "Well do you think it's due to depression?" I told her "I'm not depressed" I mean hell I've lost 83 lbs, why should I be? She said "Well your body can be depressed and you not know it" I DO NOT feel depressed at all, I am happy go lucky all the time. I will say that at this point I don't exercise, but that's due to either being nausious all the time (was told I have an ulcer) or having sinus/migraines, but I don't think that would be causing me to stay so tired, because I have a friend who doesn't exercise and he has energy through the roof. I often wondered (before surgery and now) if it could be chronic fatigue syndrome as I looked it up and I have atleast 4 of the symptoms of it, What do you guys think, could that be possible? I go to my Dr. tomorrow for a re-check on the ulcer situation, and I'm going to question him on this, but I know all my labs are fine because I called them again after they told me they were ok, just to make sure my Iron and B-12 was ok, and they said everything was in normal range, nothing high, nothing low, so I wonder if it is chronic fatigue, after all after loosing 83 lbs. I should have energy through the roof as well I would think. Thanks for listening Melissa 241.5/158/150

Thanks Laura, but I do take B-12 shots, 1 every 2 weeks and when they did bloodwork they said it was fine, so I don't know what is going on.

Melissa, I do my b-12 and iron and I take prozac....when I wasn't exercising i had horrible headaches, I was tired all the time...once I started exercising I starting feeling better. You might want to just fight your tired feeling and start exercising and see if that helps. See you on the happy and healthy side, Lea Lewis

Lea, It's not that I don't exercise due to lack of energy, I have been fighting nausua since January and my migraines have picked up, and I can't exercise with all this going on until Iget it under control, but I do go to my PCP at 10:50 a.m. in the morning for a re-check about my ulcer, so I'm going to mention these things to him. hey girl- do you have apnea? do you sleep at night? I know i had apnea before surgery, which went away-but when i started smoking again, i have noticed its come back a bit. My problem is that i dont sleep. 4 hours a night and i think i'm in heaven....i'm not sure why-just worries i guess- isn't stress great??!! when i sit to read or watch a movie or something- if i feel safe and comfy, i fall asleep in no time. Ask david if you snore...if so, you may be sleeping but not effectively. I agree though, that working out helps the sleeping situation....gives me much more energy when i go!

You know Lisa, they never did do a apnea test on me,I'm going to my PCP today I'll see what he thinks. David says I snore but not loud, lol............I would work-out, lol if I could get this nausua and migraines to go away, hehehe By the way how did your visit go with the Dr. yesterday?? Melissa

Hey, i was like that about a year ago.. and mine was all due to my sinus'.. i had severe infection and it made me have a migraine all the time, i went for about 6 months not knowing what was wrong with me! Once i had my sinus surgery, i felt better!!!! so maybe it is your sinus'.. i couldn't believe how bad i felt until i was over the surgery and felt better.. it could also be your thyroid??? get to feeling better! Hugs Tammy
