Swimsuit...
I hate to admit this - but I don't even OWN a swin suit......I haven't owned one since I gave my old size 3X one away. I just don't feel comfortable with that much skin showing.....and I've had a tummy tuck buy me legs and arms are AWFUL!
Congrats.....I know how it feels having odd things like that happen....wiat till you're swimming and it falls off of you.....
Dee, my legs are awful too....course, I'm older with grandkids and married and somehow you develop more of a "I don't care" attitude *wink* I do remember being much more self conscious when I was single and younger AND FATTER!
But...having said that...I actually bought a man's long leg bathing suit....I wear it oer my bathing suit....Actually one of them is a "spa suit" very, tight, holds in stuff...
and is designed for water aerobics. It's black...the man's suit (from Marshall's) was 12.99 and its black and blue with a strip of hawaiian lookin' flowers down the outside seam from waist to hem. i mean it doesn't look that bad, actually, it's more like wearing a cover up but I get in the water with it. Tons of folks wear shorts over their suits now...that covers your thighs...My arms...well, I also found a sorta see through, top that color coordinates, just lucky and I wear that as cover up as well, but strip off when I got to the ocean and pool..Heck, we bring all this stuff on ourselves. Most folks dont' give a hoot. I mean, you look great, ya know? Life is too short for you to deny yourself simple pleasures if you love the water.
Take the plunge, g/f! Love yourself!

What fun!!!! Congrats!!!!!!!

I had long since given away my size 32-34 suits. Two, quite nice, even looked decent on me. I have not bought a suit other than from a catalog since I was a kid. This weekend I stopped at Super WalMart to try on suits. I was complainnig to a friend that the only one I liked had a hole in it, and the other one I would have taken was only in a 26-28, and I needed a 22-24. (whine, whine, whine). My friend firmly pointed out I WAS SHOPPING AT A REGULAR STORE AND THE SIZES WERE TOO BIG! Oooooh, that's right!
Isn't it amazing??!

I went to Gap the other day and actually got a swim suit for $4.00 It is a bikini...top fits fine...but I have the dunlop tire going on....But it is a medium....and I figure for $4.00 I can hang it on the wall and say that this is what I will be wearing soon.....
See you on the happy and healthy side,
Lea Lewis
