Hello everyone, Judy E here and 9 mos out and still having issues with constipation (had this long before the surgery). I have however stumbled on somthing that seems to be helping. I added Omega 3 (fish oil and vitamin E) to my vitamin regimen and I guess since it is a gel (oil) capsule that oil is helping with the constipation issues. The bottle calls for 2 a day and I take three. On some vitamins I take more than the directions state because I think we do not absorb any nutrients like we used to. This is not a cure but seems to be helping alot. Also, when I saw Dr. D for my 6 mos. checkup (2 mos. late his fault) he said I could take time release pills as long as I do not break them up. I take Ferosequal iron because it is time release and that helps since iron caused constipation. Now has'nt this been a pleasant subject to talk about!! Judy E.

I have a silastic ring and cannot take pills or capsules, they have to be crushed and mixed with juice. My doctor has me taking Glucolax, a prescription laxative powder that you can mix with water or any drink. It has been a lifesaver. Patti
