how to get a tt approved

Hi All, Ok i have a couple of questions about a tummy tuck. First of all when you go see the doctor do you ask can you help me get it approved by my insurance? OR do they not even deal with the insurance and just want you to pay? I am making an appointment with the doctor Dee Dee had. How can you get it approved i am united health care. Any help would be great, thanks so much, susie

Dr. Ashraf (nor any good doctor) will guarantee an approval. If you're having medical issues (rashes, back pains etc.) then it will help your case - but there is no guaranteed approval. You'll Love Dr. A!!!! Let me know what she says!

I saw one dr who said that he had no luck getting anyone approved - I think he just does not want to deal with it but I want to find a dr who will apply and see. I have back pain and i want a breast reduction and lie=ft - according to PS i saw there was not enough tissue to remove for Breast reduction but now he would remove some tissue and the rest is skin (i am 36 dd -ddd) Now in my opion as far as my back pain what diffrence does it make if it is skin or tissue it is still extra I am carrying causing back pain. ALso ins. said I would have to submit that they did not have a standard amyt to remove for breast or panni. That i it was med. nessecary they would review it. I just want a dr that will try and get it approved before I try and figure out a way to self pay..... ANy adive would be appreciated....
