Update on Susan Bertrand

Just got off the phone with Susan. She is doing well and feeling great.... She apparently had a "kink" in her bowel, in the upper left quandrant, which was very painful... But she says she has eaten 2x since the surgery and has not experienced the pain she HAD been feeling... So here's hoping all is well now. She says thanks for all your prayers and well wishes!!! Dang it....i didn't realize Susan was sick.... I've been pretty rough the past few days---in and out of the hospital and ER---My PCP thought it was a hernia---now Dr. Duncan's office has me scheduled for an upper GI and another endoscopy to see what might be the cause of my pain.... ...just when you think things cant go worse.... Next time you talk to susan, tell her that her buddy here wishes her well and she's in my thoughts and prayers. I miss you guys.

He has TWO bum knees, one worse than the other. He will eventually have to have knee replacements in both, but he is too young yet. SO... Wednesday, (24th) he goes in for repair work on knee #1 and as soon as he can hobble around on THAT one, he will go BACK in for work on knee #2. HOPEFULLY, this will allow him MUCH less pain than he is currently experiencing, because right now, the pain is great...he has a difficult time just managing from day to day, but less doing anything extra.... he has been losing weight, which is helping some, but there are many ligament tears and extreme arthritis, which has already deteriorated his knee to a certain extent. SOOO... I'll take any spare prayers anyone has floating around on Weds... He is going to be at whatever hospital is in Canton...his surgery is around 12:30. Thanks Sandra.
