Carol, Be sure to bring chapstick and bedroom slippers, but dont take any nightgowns...the hospital gowns that I was given to wear were very comfortable and LARGE!! Good luck and may God bless you!! Norma

Hey Norma, I have my sugery on that following Tuesday 5/23. I was told by all of my support group that you don't really need to take anything, but I am... (lol). I am going to take chap stick b/c you know when you wake up in the recovery room you will have chapped lips from hell, and a house coat, extra panties and some slippers and well of course stuff to bath w/ and a tooth brush. I am so excited, I hope you are too. Good luck. I am sure all will go well. I will be @ N. Fulton Hospital. Jamie Wilson

what you are hearing is right, Carol...you really don't need much...they prefer you use the hospital gowns....so they can tend to your incisions....you will want that chapstick, and make sure they have your room stocked with PLENTY of the mouth swabs to help with the dry mouth after surgery... I wish you all the best Carol!! Tami

Carol, Yes make sure they bring you mouth swabs...I was so grateful for those. I saw underwear, but I had a folly...so I couldn't wear underwear...but it never hurts...each surgeon is different. See you on the happy and healthy side, Lea Lewis

One thing that I found very helpful was my body splash. I use warm vanilla sugar from Bath and Body Works. I used it as air freshener as welll as a body freshener. Not taking a shower for three days was kind of tough for me. The chapstick is a must. I ended up taking the new robe I purchased back because it wouldn't fit over all of the tubes etc. The hospital gown worked well for me too! I wore jammies home; I wish I had taken comfortable loose regular clothes to wear instead...felt a bit exposed. (Guess I could have worn that robe.) Hugs, Becky

Take you own pillow case from home. I also had my favorite relaxing linnen spay! You will be fine!
