Hello, I am almost 2 months out from my surgery and was wondering if anyone can have nuts? My surgeon hasn't mentioned them either way (avoid or not) If anyone eats them do they or didi they have trouble with them at first. Thanks, Lgore

Hi there, My surgeon says no nuts or seeds until 1 year. I have eaten them with no problems but stopped when he said no. ALWAYS follow your docs advice, just give the office a call, surely they can tell you if its safe. You are kinda early out though for nuts, in my humble opinion Barb

Thanks Barb, I know it's too early but I am getting sick of the other protein sources right now. JUst looking forward to adding new food in the future. Thanks, Lgore

I was eating nuts by about 2-3 months out---simply because i could chew them to mush---even better than meat. I had no trouble with it.....but as barb suggested---ask YOUR doc.... Lisa

I'm three months out and have been eating nuts everyday since I was two month out. My Doctor never mentioned not eating them. I find they are easy to digest, and an excellent source of protein, especially soy nuts. Rebecca RNY 2-9-06 269/213
