HELP.....Dr. Duncan's Office.....

Hello All, I am so frustrated! I am hoping to get some advice and encouragement. I am hoping to have Lap Band with Dr. Duncan in Atlanta. I have completed my "packet" and submitted it as required. I received a letter on 4-24-06 stating they had received my "packet" and I should receive a call with in 2 weeks to schedule my first appointment. This past Monday was 2 weeks and I called only to be told they can't find my "packet" so they looked me up by name but couldn't find me that way either. I have left messages for two different people to call me but of course, to no surprise, I haven't heard form anyone. I've been told 2 days straight but the same person they would "look for it" and call me back but again I haven't hear from anyone. Don't get me wrong, I do understand they are all busy and I need to be patient. I am following their direction as stated in the letter and I just want to hear back form someone. In my opinion, if they are SO busy, they need to hire some help. I know, before someone tells me, I am just anxious and need to be patient. I am trying but it's a little frustrating when you can't get an answer and you're not sure where you stand. Of course my first thought is...what if my "packet" has somehow been lost and I have to start from the beginning...days turn into weeks and then months!! Have any of you experienced anything like this with Dr. Duncan's office or your own doctor? Just looking for some works of encouragement Thanks! Ann

I went through the same same thing . Go ahead and send it in again I hope you made copies. I would also put to the attention of Yakima. Always make copies of everythinh you send and provide to the office. I hope you hear from them soon.Best of Luck ..Beth

Yakima was a God sent! But if I was you I would take it in there personally and in a firm way I would get an appointment then and if Jackie says that she can't then ask to speak to the office manager Shona. In this process you have to be very proactive not only with Dr. Duncan's office but with every part of this process. Many times I did not wait for the various offices to send something in the mail I went to pick it up in person.

Hang in there. No office is perfect. Hopefully you kept copies of everything. If not and you have to complete the paperwork again. Make copies. Figure it a bump in the road on the way to a new life. I do understand, I am at present standing in front of a huge bump in the road and waiting for the MD office to get a clearence from the hospital to do my surgery. I have been waiting and asking for over 2 months. (different doctor).

Have you tried emailing them>? It worked for me

You might want to check with the Wellness Center at Atlanta Medical. They are the ones *****ceive your "packet" initially. Kim

Dont get fustated because all it will do is upset you more call susan cali at the wellness center she will be able to help you I promise

Thank you all SO much for your advice and kind words. It helps to chat with others who understand! Heather, I'm not sure what happened to Yakima. I've heard and read that she was wonderful!
