Are you having a revision done? I am pretty sure that they can do this if you have to go back into surgery. My doctor (Roc Bauman) did mine and he does revisions. It is a little harder getting used to eating then from the regular RNY from what I was told. I am only 7 months out of surgery and still can only eats small portions at a time and the silastic ring helps you from gaining the weight back and from having to eventually get a revision. My doctor is wonderful and he will tell you straight up anything that you want to know without beating around the bush like a lot of doctors that I know.

Yes try a different exercise like Zumba. Your body gets used to doing things and expects it so when you do something different it doesn't know what is going on and it reacts to it by losing weight. Sometimes it might take a month but just change up your routine and count those calories and you will be fine.

Topic: Announcing Forum Upgrades!

Its been over six years since we've launched our forums. During this time it has seen thousands of fresh faces, greetings, meetings, partings, arguments, kind words, life transformations, cathartic rants, and simply happy time pass. It has been with us throughout this time, silently observing and facilitating. But like any wise old man, its bones were getting old. Its joints were aching, and it has been needing a new jolt of energy.

A Mobile World
Did you know that over 30% of you visit our website using a mobile device? For those who do visit us via mobile, we owe you a sincere apology, because our forums have been horrendous on a mobile browser. But the big news is that things are about to change! Our new forums are completely mobile friendly and compatible with iPhone, Android, and pretty much any other modern smart phone.

Each post, topic, and forum shows up beautifully, with the full set of features, and in nice large font. See the screenshots for yourself.

You dont have do anything different, just browse to the forums like you normally would. This means that you can finally put these away:

Not Just for Mobile
The interface on your desktop browser has also been cleaned up a great deal. There is now less clutter on the page, and the overall experience is a lot cleaner. Check out some more screenshots here!

You will notice that each post no longer has 400 buttons below it. Only the buttons that are relevant to each post show up, making your screen space a lot less cluttered. Also, when you reply to another person's post, the entire post is indented inside, making it a lot easier to figure out who has replied to whom.

Launching soon! Maybe as early as next week! Maybe.
And do remember that this is not in any way a be-all-end-all when it comes to the forums. We are in the process of constantly learning and improving upon what we have, and this is just one step along the way.

Stay tuned for the changes! We look forward to hearing your thoughts on this.

Topic: RE: Support Group - Jacksonville, FL
Hi Pam.  Thanks for your post.  I have to tell you that you've done better than most because after 5 years, people tend to start gaining and continue gaining.

I see that Dr. Overcash did your surgery and since you replied to a post of "fobi pouch", I'm thinking that's the type of surgery you had.

Unfortunately, 2 years ago I had my port removed for the 2nd time and thought the surgeon was going to remove the tubing, not the port.  I had an infection for 10 months after that so I've made a decision NOT to have that port put back in.

As a support group leader, I have seen lots of people with lots of different types of surgery but very few people who can keep the weight off.  Any type of wls is simiply a "crutch" and unless you change your eating habits, no surgery works.  That's true even without surgery....its a lifestyle change.  Surgery is just a "tool"/"crutch" that helps.

I no longer have a support group as I've gained almost all of my 92 pounds back.  I still know all the tricks of the trade and know how to work the program and could still hold meetings but the depression has taken over and I'm so disappointed in myself, I just stay in my house and do nothing..... except EAT.

There are several support groups here in Jacksonville and I'll be happy to talk to you about them.  You can email me at [email protected] and we'll talk.

I hope to hear from you, Pam.  I know EXACTLY how you feel.
