5 Years Thanks Dr. Fobi!

I am coming up on my 5th year anniversary in October! I cant believe it. I had my surgery on 10/28/99 - 300lbs-170lbs today! I am blessed, no complications and no problems steming from the surgery. Dr. Fobi performed my surgery! I am glad I did have the surgery! Good luck to all who are concidering it! Kim

Hi Kim Way to go!! I'm so glad I had the Fobi pouch too. I had mine four years ago and weighed 440 and now I'm around 180 and maintaining for a year now. Dr Felahy did mine, he's wonderful. I'm so glad Dr Fobi created this surgery!!! I do have to watch what I eat and excersize, I feel I have a second chance at life and I'm living it to the fullest!! Hi Kim, thanks so much for the compliments. Your looking wonderful yourself, I find it hard to believe you EVER lacked confidence in yourself. I have to agree with what you said in your profile, loving ones self is one of the hardest things I had to learn to do, it feels selfish, conceited and just down right wrong, but it is totally necessary for success. And that alcohol has killed a few fobi patience. I get my therapy by attending support group meetings, I have a lot of wonderful people who look up to me and I hold myself accountable. If I fail they might think they will fail too, so I try to be a good example and do what I call paying it forward. As you become stronger I bet you will kick the meds too!! Rock on sister!!
