I am also in the Port Charlotte area and interested in a support group. My RNY was 9/12/12 at Tampa General...a LONG drive for a support group!

Topic: Just had a revison of my RNY..looking for support group?

Looking for a support group in port charlotte englewood area.....had my RNY in texas 5 yrs ago did GREAT lost 115 pds.....held a weight of 112 lbs for around 4 yrs then BOOM just started gaining weight fast so I went to see dr rehnke in st pete...... hospital of excellence.....wondering if anyone knows of a good support group in my area?

Im glad u found it to be very informative. Im having my surgery done there by Dr Hoddinott. I wish I was able to attend but I live 2 1/2 hours away.

Tonight I had the pleasure of going to a support group meeting in Ocala at the Munroe hosptial...I met some wonderful people and want to thank them for letting me join them. As I am from PA and here for the next seven months I am happy that I will be able to attend this group and thank you stephanie for leading the meeting.......Lois Gadomski

Munroe Regional Medical Center is also a Center of Excellence. I just had my RNY done there on Aug 29. They have been great.
There is 1 monthly support meeting but you can call the dieticians or Dr. Hoddinott's office anytime there is concern and get guidance. (They actually remember your name & case w/o you having to repeat your life story each time you talk/see them.)
