I am no longer having my surgery with Dr. Wizman because he is no longer in "The Center Of Excellence" program. My insurance company, United Healthcare, will only pay for the surgery if the surgeon and hospital are a Center of Excellence. On Feb 14, 2014, I met my new surgeon, Dr. Nestor De La Cruz - Munoz in Miami. I am thrilled with him and his staff.
Where are you in the process with Dr. Wizman? I look forward to hearing from you.

Dr. Uchal did my bypass last October. He's GREAT! Surgery went well. I have not had any problems at all. I would send my own family to him.
He's not one of those snooty type surgeons. I find him to be very easy to talk to. You can just tell how much he cares.
There will be WLSFA meeting in Tampa in April....check it out......three day event...then a cruise too....you choose.....both are going to be great...check it out at the web site.,........

Sure. I had some blood work,a psych evaluation,on the 28th I will have an endoscopy which Dr. Hoddinott will be doing. Also I have medicaid so I had to do six months of pcp visits. Luckily I already had 4 of those visits when I started with Dr. Hoddinott. I also need to set up the nutritional class at Munroe.
Hey all, I live in the tampa bay area and am looking for a lap band surgeon who takes medicaid (I am on the amerigroup hmo, dont know if that makes a difference).

yes I am. im preop. I actually will be having an endoscopy next week. Its the last test before we subit everything to insurance. Im having Rny.
