I have Medicaid and I know they will pay for the surgery and I have found a place to take the insurance I just haven't had an appointment were I can ask this question. Is a six month supervised diet required before they will pay for your surgery?

I have several health problems and would greatly benefit from the surgery.

I've researched VSG in the past but now I'm serious and want/need to get it done. My current weight is 253lbs Height 5'7. The first thing I'm doing is joining Weigh****chers (for 6 months) and start going to my PCP. Ive found a Dr. that was recommend here by Kdiva Dr. Paul Wizman in Margate FL. I forgot to mention I have medicaid.

Any other tips that you guys may have would be greatly appreciated

Hello. I know this was 3 years ago but i have a question. Im having the surgery on october 24th this year. And im also on share of cost. They gave me 3 months, im doing everything that needs to be done for the surgery. Just like you im going to the ER with a complain. Do you think everything will be okay? Cause i see that you mentionned that medicaid ask you for 6 months. But my medically needy share of. Cost only ask for 3. It was suppose to be even less. Do you think they're going to tell me to wait more?

I am looking for recommendations for a revision. I had RNY in 2007 in Maryland. To be honest I am not sure what surgery's there are. What doctor do you like in the Tampa area? What surgery did you have?
