Hi there, My very first appointment with Dr. Jawad, I had a BmI of 46 and then lost before surgery to a BMI of 41. I had a Lap RNY on March 16, 2005. Dr. Jawad was my surgeon and did a fine job. Are you worried that your BMI is too low. It will be your insurance company that will give you the hard time as you are on the fence depending on your co morbidities. Everyone is different and will qualify for different reasons. Know though, that you picked a wonderful, caring and gifted surgeon that will assist you through this process. Best wishes.
