OH Regional Conference Change in Date!

Monica, where did you hear of the Event date change? I just checked again under the ON Events section and it still states under September the OH conference will be on the 16th and nothing listed in August for Florida?

OH Sorry Monica, I was on another OH board and checked Events and there it does say it's changed. Are the still having some clitches with the program change overs.

I had been looking for a regional event in Florida. Would someone tell me a little more about the event? It looks to be a day long seminar. Is there a vendor area for products and services for WLS community? Do people stay longer than the one day? Any plans for Friday or Saturday evening? Thanks for all information. Vicky

Vicky, I attended the OH conference in Orlando in June '05 and it was wonderful. Yes, there are vendor tables with things for sale & lots of free samples. The speakers were good, some more suitable for pre-ops considering surgery, others aimed more for post-ops - plastic surgeons & a bariatric surgeon who spoke on nutrition - excellent! A friend from our support group & I drove down on Fri. & met some other online OH friends for dinner & time at Universal Studios. After the conference on Sat. we shared another meal with them then we left to drive back to Tallahassee (some stayed again Sat. night). If the timing works out for me, I'm going to the conference again this year. I just need to find out when & where it is being held to see if it will fit in my schedule. I hope to meet you there! Hey, Vicky, I would love to attend a regional conference too. Maybe we can go together when one gets scheduled. Sounds like they are very informative. I guess the support group is this coming Tueaday? I plan to attend. See 'ya then!

Mary, Yes it is Tuesday. I plan to be there. If you still have my number or email, please get in touch. We changed computers and some things didn't transfer properly. GRRRRRRR If not, I will see you Tuesday. And mark August 19 for this regional conference. I want to go. Vicky
