HELP! Need Recommendations!

I am currently living in NY and am moving to Fort Myers, Florida on the 17th of May I am looking for anyone who may have expirience with surgeons in that area, I will even Travel to Ft Lauderdale. I need this for after care. Any help would be great Gina

Not sure about what is available in Ft.Myers area. Down near Ft. Lauderdale is the Cleveland Clinic in Westin Florida and they have a phenomonal Bariatric Program.

My Doctor is amazing..His name is Wayne English. He Operates out of Florida Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale wich is about 1 1/2 hours away from Fort Meyers. Gina- You can search for bariatric surgeons that are willing to provide follow-up care to other surgeon's patients at the American Society of Bariatric Surgery (ASBS) website. Hi Gina--I live in Fort Myers. I am not sure there are any surgeons doing the surgery int his area at this time. There are lots north in Tampa and East in Fort Lauderdale though. Gina I went to Cleveland Clinic in Weston FL. I was great and I know people form west FL travel there for surgery, I had the gastric sleeve (stomach reduction) by Dr Rosenthal and it was great and CC is great. I know there is a CC in Naples, but understand they do not do the stomach reduction there. I would recomend that procedure to anyone Best John

Hi Gina, Welcome to Florida.. My husband had the surgery in Ft. Lauderdale. We traveled from the panhandle for him to have this done. The Dr. we used was the only one in the state that would touch him due to so many health problems and if it were not for our Govenors office helping push the insurance along we would still be waiting. Dr. Samual F. Cox is in Ft. Lauderdale. He is the most wonderful Dr. we have ever had. He is very understanding and will go out of his way for his patients. He is one in a million and his staff is wonderful.. His wife is the coordinator at the NW Regional there and is over five areas. They are both advacants for their patients and people with obesity...
