Stupid Question about Weight Loss after WLS
This is probably a stupid question...but my mom asked me this & I never really knew the right answer.. Your biggest/fastest weight loss is right after your WLS for like 6 months to a year. Seeing you must have to have a B.M. to get rid of your fat waste. Arent you pretty much on the toliet most of the time following WLS? Alot of you talk about constipation, how do you still loose if you cant get it out...do you stall until you are "regular" again??

I lost 150 pounds in 10 months...I would go once or twice a day, so I wasn't on the pot all day long, thank god. I know that during your early months is when you have Ketosis, so your burning fat as fuel. I did get constipated occasionally due to not getting info water in, but I didn't stall when that happened, I was a consistant loser til I lost 181 pounds.
I didn't have a real problem with the bathroom til I was over a year out. I changed my calcium 2 months ago and that has messed up my system.
I have heard we pee, poop and burn up the fat..but then again I didn't ask how, I just let it happen.

HHMM Interesting! I lost 140 in about a year and I hardly went at all. Before the surgery, I'd go once a day. After surgery, I'd go about once every 3-4 days, I think. I wasn't constipated, though. I just wasn't eating enough to actually have to go. Since then, of course, I'm eating more and am back to going about once a day. I don't have issues with constipation or diarrea. It's just normal and almost everyday. It's even at the same time.
