I had to buy clothes before I had WLS...but I was cheap, mens shorts, mens shirts. Having WLS is expensive in a good way..all the new clothes in new sizes you get to buy every couple of weeks. Maybe we need to plan a clothing exchange sometime soon. Tracey

Wow...that's amazing!! Congrats on that - so stop getting SMALLER!!!!!!!!!!! LOL I've been in denial...been wearing my size 14 clothes when I notice now that I'm fitting so much better in 12's and depending on the material size 8...dying to be full time in the single digits..but I guess I'll get there if I work at it! I'm at that point where I'm scared of gaining myself. Stop loosing now or you'll d i s a p p e a r!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Thanks...I haven't been losing honestly, I am just afraid to size them down again. I really hate how sizes are..I wish there was a universal way of sizing. I am either in a 4, 6 or an 8...most of my pants are 4's though. But when I go to the store to get clothes I think I have gained if I have to get a different size. All those memories come back from when I was bigger...bad ones. I remember how it was when you thought you were one size and you get it but your a bigger size cuz you have stretched out your clothes. It is all a horrible head game I am playing with myself, I know this since I haven't gained. Congrats on the 12's and 8's! I am sure you will be in those single digits full time soon. Tracey

My first WOW was the first week after surgery and I realized I no longer had Plus 3 pitting edema in my legs. Now it had been 24 hours a day and bang no edema. One week and my heart was already working better. I cried and I mean I cried. I was alone and no one to share with until now. Since then I have them and keep writing them down. The latest is sort of personel. I was able to see my own "crotch" for the first time in over 10 years. Sad but true. I am keeping one pair of shorts and panties and a top to remember and keep strong. Happy WOW's to everyone. DRJ

Wow, those are great wows I cried too when I realized my hips didn't hurt anymore and I stopped waddling when I walked. Please keep sharing those wows! I love to hear about them, makes me remember mine, since I didn't write them down...I wish I had written them down now. Tracey

I've had several "WOW" moments lately... I needed a new pair of black pants...my 16s are too big! There was only one pair of 14s in the women's section and they fit but were a little short so I went into the "normal" people section of the store. It was so overwhelming. I've been used to only shopping in a small corner of Macy's, now I had a whole floor of possibilities. I tried on 16s in the misses section and they fit! Better yet is that no one came up to me and said, "I'm sorry Miss, you don't belong here. Your size is in the Women's department upstairs." The other "WOW" was flying to Chicago this week. I was shocked and amazed that not only do I NOT need a seat belt extender but for the seat belt to fit I have at least of foot of excess seat belt! AND I can put the seat try down with room to spare. I am very grateful. Rhonda

Congrats Ronda! I am still overwhelmed by shopping in the regular size department...tooo many choices now. Also before I lost the weight I settled for clothes that looks ok, hard to find stuff that looked good. Now I swear 90% looks good on me instead of like 10% looking good, oh the decisions! Flying is a great wow...I loved it when my cheek stopped hanging over into the isle and I am sure everyone else liked that too. Keep it up, hope to see you soon! Tracey

I just remembered another good one. The horror of walking thru a turn style at Disney. I personally would get all worried I would get stuck everytime I approached one. My family and I went to Disney...I was probably between 7-9 months out. I walked thru the turn style and then boom it hit me like a ton of bricks. I didn't have to turn sideways and squeeze my body thru. I did have tears form, my husband asked me what was up? I smiled so big and told him what happened, he was sooo happy for me. I wanted to walk thru the turn style all day long! Tracey
