Questions about Celebration Health's Bariatric program

Hello,

Has anyone recently had WLS with Dr. Kim or Dr. Smith at Florida Hospital Celebration Health?

I got approved for my surgery today and was wondering how long you all waited between getting your insurance authorization and having your actual surgery. 

I was also wondering if you guys could tell me how you liked the surgeons and if you utilize the post-op support groups and classes? If so, do you feel they are valuable to maintaining your new healthy eating habits?

i had my surgery (RNY) by Dr. Kim in Feb 2015. He was great! I love his PA Michelle, as well. To date I have lost 110lbs and feel great! I do not go to the support groups so I cannot answer that.

This is where I plan to have my surgery, if I can ever get approved.  Actually, this is the only place my insurance will cover.
