Depends on which end of town your on, but from the furthest distance you should be able to get there in a half hour - forty mins max. Don't forget the Toll money - it's up to $6 bucks now.

just so you know this hotel is on Cleveland and tamiami trail RTE41... It's not by the beach or near anything touristy...... There's a Holiday Inn in Naples on Rte 41 (9th street north) and it's about 1 mile from the beach..... Good luck! Barbi PS: There's also the Coconut point hyatt in estero fl - it's own private beach, beautiful pool and it has a spa.....

There are a bunch of hotels directly on Fort Myers beach that are very reasonable. My husband and and I go to Fort Myers beach for a few days every couple of Months. Try Casa Playa Hotel, Bay to Beach, Sand Piper Hotel (Approx $90) or you can try the Holiday Inn they have one directly on the beach. We always Stay at Casa Playa. Very Quiet & peaceful Good Luck Toni

Gina--What a nice daughter you are. This is actually pretty far from the beach. The website says 12 miles--but I bet it would take at least a half hour just to get to the beginning of Sanibel. That would be in the off season. In season it would likely take almost an hour. There are lots of inexpensive hotels in Fort myers beach which is actually a seperate town. Bonita Beach is also nice I have noticed that on the way to Sanibel there is a Hampton Inn which is relatively new and much closer. Hampton Inns are pretty comfortable and always clean.

I'd say about a half hour max. The slowest or should I say longest part of the ride will be the Sanibel bridges, they are currently being re-done. The view from the bridges is just beautiful, so it's not really bad thing to go alittle slow, kinda allows you to enjoy the ride. Prices do get better in town, and being in town is not all bad - it actually opens up more things to do, like Visit the Edison Museum of Light, The Edison and Bell Tower Malls. Quick access to wonderful restaurants, dinner theaters and Preforming arts halls and that's only to name a few things to do. Tell mom to check with the Hotel staff - they will be able to give her directions to all kinds of wonderful things to do in the area. You could also surf the net and print information on places to visit here and pop those in her suitcase for ideas. Your mom will have a wonderful time, and it is very sweet of you to do this for your mom. Best Wishes, Lehigh Barbie
