Yes, I have had it great so far. I went back to work today. I had for breakfast a 1/2slice toast and peanut butter, for lunch the inside of an egg roll and for supper 2 crackers with 2 tbs of tuna salad. Well this afternoon my pouch hurts and I am a little nauseated. Could it be the food or the work that is causing this.

if it was me i would think it was the egg roll. maybe a little to spicy. not that its spicy hot but over seasoned. try keeping it blam for a while. i know its boring but it will be for the better. best wishes.

The egg roll wasn't spicy, but I know it had to be greasy. Come to think about it I have been nauseated since lunch. So that is probably what it is. Hopefully after a goodnights rest it will feel better.

Wow I've been told by my surgeon & staff, Nothing but protein the first 6 months at least if not even longer. And try to up water/crystal light to at least a gallon everyday by sipping only. And no drinking 30 minutes before and after eatting.

Angie - at this stage and even at my 18month stage I try not to eat anything breaded or greasy. I keep my fat/sugar levels at 10g...and it sounds like the breaded egg roll made you dump. Also the tuna if you have regular mayo may cause the dumping. I always watch the mayo and fats in my foods. That nauseated feeling is NOT fun. Try to focus on proteins and less on any carbs cause that will make you dump more easily and the trouble with that is once you get adjusted you'll focus back on the carbs again at a later date - and you need to focus on the proteins first. So take it easy!!!!!!!

Yes I feel better, after finally throwing up at 430am then taking Lortab at 630am, calling in to work and sleeping until 1230. Now I just pray that the pain doesn't come back.

Angie, I've got to ask you what are you doing eating egg rolls, crackers and toast so soon??? The window for optimal weight loss is 6 months...that means no carbs, just protein, fruits, and vegetables. Besides, carbs are rough on the pouch. And peanut butter can also have some sugar in it and that would make you uncomfortable. I'm not meaning to come down on you, but in a way I am because I want you to be successful, and I know if you keep up with the carbs you won't be where you want to be and you'll wonder why. Just think it through. You need to be getting at least 3 whey protein shakes in a day for your protein requirement, can't eat enough to absorb the amount you need. I'm cheering for you Angie...you can do this!!! hugs, Tami

I am actually following my Dr. recommendations. He is not big on protein drinks. The only limititation I have at this point is no beef, chicken or pork and no doughy breads. That is why I like this board I can always get better ideas on what to eat than besides what the dr. suggests. As for fruits, do they make you dump because of the natural sugars?
