Fl vacation

I'm taking my GrandKids to Pensacola Beach for a few days next week. Any suggestions on things to do, things we should not miss or good places to eat? Thanks in advance. Kathy O.

Hi kathy...the beaches here are beautiful, however things still arent back to normal since Hurricaine Ivan. I think they just reopened Fort Pickens. If so check it out. A little history about the fort. Further in town there are several good restaurants....Halls seafood, McQuires Irish Pub, Pandas chinese restaurant.... We usually just pack a lunch ir hit Kentucky fried chicken or McDonalds on the way and sit at a picknic table at the beach. Hope you have fun!! Love and Peace, Mary B

I live 40 miles from there. Originally from Illinois. You will love the beach!!! Take the kids to the Naval museum. There is an IMAX theater too. I second the McGuires for lunch or dinner.Have fun. The weather has been great. Do the kids fish? My son is a fishing nut. laurie

Thanks all for the info! My oldest Grandson fishes in our pond so he would enjoy that. I've never been to an Imax theater so I'm up for that & all of us love to eat! Thanks. Kathy O.
