I know I am only 3 days post op but I have a question. Of course I am still on clear liquids and they have been going down fine. But is it normal to have a feeling in your chest sometimes like air is trying to escape. Kind of like a burp, with no air. It usually does not do this when I am drinking.

Angie, First of all CONGRATS! for being on the losers side. TO answer your question...it is normal. You still have air trapped in your body that is gonna take time in getting out. That is why it is said that you should be up and walking...soon that air will pass No pun intended Becky

Angie, Hey girl... CONGRADULATIONS!!! You sound like you are doing pretty good.... I have the same problem with the chest pain, but every time I burp....or I make myself. I can't handle no release! I'm glad everything is going so well girly! Love, Amy

I want to say that is normal. When ever you have any type of surgery they have to fill you full of air so they can see. It should work its way out. Move your arms and keep walking. Keep up the good work.

Just to let you know this is normal (not that you've not heard) but to let you know that even at 18months that still happens!!!!! Well and I can't say for years out but as far as now it does happen to me...and especially since I'm a gulper so I have to remember to slow it down.
