Thank you GOD, Thank you GOD, Thank you GOD. I can't say it enough. I finally have a date it is (drum roll please) next Thursday, 3/30. I can't believe it is so soon. I have finally made it after all my insurance company put me through. Again, Thank GOD and all of the members out their who let me vent and kept encouraging me. It want be long now until I am on the loser bench. I don't know how my job is going to take it when I tell them that I need time off and I am off all this week on Spring Break. Any words of advice. I have so many questions. How many days do I actually need off. My dr. said 3 weeks, but will 2 work? What do I need to take to the hospital? What will I need to get for the house after I come home, like liquids (full or clear)? As you can tell I am really excited and nervous. Thank you all for being there and being so encouraging.

Angie, I'm so excited for you!!! I feel like we have went thru this journey together! Dr. Jawad's office said I could go back to work after 2 weeks, because I have a desk job with NO lifting. It really depends on what you do at work. I can't really answer the diet questions for after the surgery, but my preop is tomorrow and I might be able to answer it then. As far as the hospital is concerned, this is what I've been told. Wear something very loose on the day of surgery. Also plan on wearing it home. Bring a pillow for the ride home, you'll need it to help with the bumps. Bring Chapstick to keep your lips moist because of all the IV stuff. I also read to bring a robe for walking around the hospital. I bought 2 from www.lanebryantcatalog.com because they go all the way to 6x. I bought them at that size and they are really big on me, but will make it easier for me when I'm walking around and such. I bought one that goes all the way to the floor and one that goes to the knees. They zip up the front. Anyways. Good luck dearie! My date is on the 27th. I hope things go very well for you!!!

We are going through this together aren't we. I remember you got your date when I started my appeal process. Now we are have surgery just 3 days apart. I guess you will be getting home from the hospital when I am going in. I want to wish you the best of luck and I will be praying for you to come through safely.
