2 weeks away no SUGAR diet
Well I have exactly two weeks to go for my surgery. And i am on a no sugar diet until then. Since I eat so many things that have so much sweets/sugar the nutritionist wants to wean my body off the sugar so that is wont be so hard after the surgery. So if I don't have it as much then my body won't crave it as much. So I am eating apples slices in place of junk food. And drinking water in place of any other beverages. I also bought some SPLENDA AND 1% milk. Hopefully I won't have such a hard time with the milk since I only dring 2% now..But the SPLENDA is gonna drive me nuts since I love sugar. Keeps your fingers crossed for me.
When tempted remember why you are doing this. Sugar is one of the culprits that got you to where you are at today. Embrace the changes and you will be surprised how much better you feel without the sugar. Initial 2-3 days can be rough. I had horrible headaches, but once that passed I felt so much better because my blood sugar levels remained fairly even, didn't have all the highs and lows that eating sugar causes. Good luck.. you can do it.

My addiction was salty foods. I've found my alternative! Instead of a big bag of potatoe chips, I have a small bag of pumpkin seeds with the shells still on. It takes forever to eat them, so you get full w/o eating alot.. and your satisfy the need for salt. There are only 4 grams per bag!
With sugar, splenda is my best friend. I found an awesome recipie for peanut butter cookies..
Peanut butter and splenda. mix. then take spoonfulls and drop them on a pan. They are much more crumbly... but OOOO so good!
Good luck!
