Hi Heidi:
My name is also Heidi. Ohhhh boy what a lovely name hhahaa.
Well I wish you the best on your surgery. I'm still in the process of all the paperwork. I received the Nutritionist letter yesterday, now I need the one from my pcp and the Psycologist and then my letter and I'll be faxing everything to my the dr., office so they can fax it to my insurance.
What a process ahhh, but is all good.
I sometimes get very nervous and worry, but I have faith that everything is going to go well.
I don't have kids, but I have 3 beautiful doggies they are my babies. I'm married and my husband is also happy for me, sometimes he gets worried about the surgery, but I tell him I want my health back. Enough of all the medicine that I have to buy and take, enough of drs, visits every week it's a different dr.
I want to do so many things. I love to play with my dogs and when I'm on the floor and try to get up my knees hurt so much.
Well good luck. Keep us posted. God bless.
Best wishes,
Heidi
Hi Heidi,
It's always great to meet another Heidi !! This is a long process, but don't ever give up. In June (6th) 2005' after numerous tests ( including my psych and nutritional consults, sleep study, upper endoscopy, stress test and DR visits) I handed in all my info only to find out that on June 1st my insurance now required me to have a 6 month DR. suppurvised diet, in the last 2 yrs. I had none, so I started the process with my primary MD. Well after 2 huricanes ( Katrina and Wilma) that pushed me back 2 months ( now 8 months passed ) I finally turned in all my info. But I made sure all my paper work was done and my MD and I wrote a very nice letter to the insurance Co. and I was approved on the first go around. It was 2 weeks short of 1 yr from the time of my first meeting with my Surgeon. I never gave up. Don't you . It's all worth it at the end. I wish you the best of luck and I will keep you updated on my progress. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help, OK.
Best of luck, Heidi
