hernias and tummy tuck

I had WLS 1 1/2 years ago and now have some hernias that need repair. I was hoping to be able to get a tummy tuck when I had this done but cant find a Dr. that will do both. Does anyone have someone to recommend? I live in the St. pete/clearwater area but would travel a few hours for a good surgeon. Thanks

I would suggest you call "the Center for Obesity" in Gainesville. They might be able to refer you. I know Dr Thornberg who did my RNY used to do that as well but he has gone on to another pratice and field. Dr Bryant is still there doing the WLS surgeries.

I don't have the numbe but there is a great surgeon who has an excellent reputation in Ocala, Dr. Najhir.

Dr. Ernest Rehnke in St. Pete does both at the same time. He sometimes works with his brother Dr. Robert Rehnke who is a plastic surgeon and they do the surgery together. Both have excellent reputations. Dr. E did my rny surgery 14 months ago. I too have a hernia and won't let anyone else do the surgery. Good luck. Barbara
