My surgery was canceled because of Medicare!!!
I'm trying soooo hard not to be down about this, but after a year of fighting insurance companies and hoping for this surgery, finally getting a wonderful surgeon, having a surgery date of MONDAY, Medicare changes their policy with no grandfathering, and I get canceled four days before my surgery.
I'm not even sure what direction to go now. There are several COE in FL, but none that accept Medicare. Does anyone know differently???

I am SO sorry that happened. It must be heart wrenching. I have been trying to have surgery for 3 years and I think my insurance is going to do the same after jumping through their 10,000 hoops. The only hope I can give you is that persistance pays off and everything happens for a reason. Please don't give up on yourself.
Liz Check with Dr.Rehnke at the Palms of Pasadena Hopital in St.Petersburg. I'm being told they either accept or are going to very shortly. Here is their web site:

Thank you everyone!!! Because of your boost, I called several clinics yesterday, and I have two of them working on getting me there. Dr. Jawad in Ocala (which is where I'm from) is now accepting Medicare. Although I cannot get an appointment until April (ugh) it's still in the right direction.
I also called the Palms of Pasadena in St. Pete (2 hours from me) and they were very nice and sending me paperwork.
As long as I can still fight.....I'm fighting....
