please..I need help
lesa, i'm manic depressive and i thought of suicide and even tried it one time and it was the stupidest thing i've ever done. nobody cares if you have no money. you get your butt into the e.r. or call your police and say that you are having bad thoughts and they will help you get there. all i needed was some medication to balance out the chemical imbalances in my brain. and believe me that's all it is. at 119 lbs, you are slender and beautiful, but the imbalances in your brain won't let you see yourself that way. marti
((((Lesa)))) Please call one of those numbers that Tooter gave you. I have had to call for help myself already and am so glad that I did. If talking doesn't help, maybe medicine can. Please don't give up. Come here anytime and we can support you and find you help. I'm counting on hearing from you soon! You're in my prayers and prayer is powerful!
I think at one time in everyones life they go through bad times where they think about giving up. It sounds like you are going through some depression and you need not only support from friends and family but some help from a counselor or doctor. I am a believer in psych meds and there are some great "miracle drugs" that can be prescribed that can help you during the rough times. If you let your doctor know that you don't have insurance they might be able to supply you with a bunch of free samples that they have in their office. There are also different organizations that offer free counseling, it might be worth asking your doctor if they know of organizations like this. What ever you do don't give up. Just keep telling yourself things will get better. And they will Lisa.
Lisa, Its great that you posted this cry for help. Now you have access to many resouces. Those phone numbers should be your first priority. There are many wonderful understanding people out there who will be able to give you help.
And this support group here is a great resource., Lots of great people who have gone through what you are going through, and available to talk and support you.
Another idea is Overeaters Anonymous. Many people with anorexia or bulemia attend not just compulsive overeaters. Anyway it would be support for food and body image issues. It might help.

Hi Lisa, you are suffering by the sounds of things from clinical depression. So many of us on the boards have it too, and you have to get help from your doctor. Keep coming to the boards as much as you possibly can and know that there are others who want to help.
hugs from down under

Dear Lisa,
People would kill to have the success you have had. 119 pounds wow that is so wonderful- you should be fitting in with everyone and enjoying life- isn't that what this is all about? You desperately need a psych to give you some meds to help- and there are free centers- you need to find one in your city. Or borrow money to go for say a few months so you at least are put on meds. Overeaters anonymous is a place where people with any sort of food issues go and people are there with open arms to welcome you. If you feel fat at 119 you have body dysmorphic disorder and at the very least go to the local library and take out some books on the topic and read. Being consumed with thoughts of suicide is very bad- you need to disavow yourself of that notion at once. Can parents or family members help out financially with a loan or some some of support? Go to the message board of the state/city you are in- sometimes they have a once a month dinner and you can discuss feelings there. I am sure you will get responses here. You can certaily write to me anytime- I am on enough antidepressants to be "Happy the Clown" but it is not so easy. I still don't want to leave the house-I am pre-op. Try positive affirmations- you are worth living, things will get better..put up these notes on your mirror and read them every day. We will all be dead long enough - why would you want to go there at such a young age..what would that prove??
Also sometimes a dr will see you for much less if he knows you are in distress and have no insurance. Look around and talk to some people...even if it means going in patient for a little while in a center that deals with these issues.Sometimes there is a dr who is conducting a free clinical trial for depression...look into that also. Then they pay you for participating. Talk to school counselors that is what they are there for. A church or any temple or religious institution will help also.
Good luck and try immediately to get some assistance,,ok?????
