Next Central FL Meet & Greet

Hey All! April 1st looks like the best weekend for me to plan another M&G. I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in meeting at a different place this time. Possibly Celebration or Mt. Dora for our gathering, maybe lunch and/or coffee and some browsing afterwards. I am open to suggestions for a new location or restaurant, I just want to keep it in the Central FL area so the "regulars" will come and if we met for lunch, we need to keep the prices affordable or people won't join us. Let me know your thoughts and we can narrow it down from there! Amy

I havent had surgery yet, but I think you guys should go to mt. dora, there are lots of places to have lunch that is reasonable priced, and there is lots to do there, espically in their historic district!!!

Cyndee, I did a quick mapquest and it looks like Mt. Dora is at least 100 miles from Tampa. Mt. Dora is an adorable little town with several b&bs, bistros, gift shops and lots of antiques. It is easy to maneuver on foot and is small enough to get through most/all of it in an afternoon. I go at least once a year for a nice little day trip. We would love for you to join us, maybe someone else from your area would be willing to car pool with you for the trip. Give it some thought, everyone needs to get away for a day or two to regroup and Mt. Dora is close enough to do in a day. Amy

I have never been to one of your meet and greets but would love to come to the next one. I also vote Mt. Dora! My parents live right near there and I could visit them as well. Do I bring anything? What do we do?

Just bring yourself. When we get closer to the date, I'll ask for everyone to officially RSVP so I know how many to expect for lunch so I can have enough seating for us. Basically we'll just chat and get to know each other, share our pics/stories/challenges, offer support, etc. This is NOT a support group, but a very casual, informal gathering to get to know some of the faces on the message board. We have been doing this every 2-3 months since June 2004 and have always had a nice time. Amy
