Hello everyone. It's been quite some time since I have posted on this site. It seems like before surgery and right after, I was on this site day and night reading everything I could possibly read. Now, I feel like it has been months since I have visited this site. I fell like I need to get back into action and visit frequently again. I haven't been making the best dietary choices or doing regular exercize and it's time to get with it. I feel like time is running out. Alot of things have changed in my life and I have alot more stability. I would greatly appeciate any words of wisdom or encouragement. Tricia

Welcome back! We all have good and bad days, being on this board helps me feel normal and that every day has choices for us to make. I hope that being here help you make good choices! Good luck and stay connected!

I'm glad you are posting again and hope that you'll find some encouragement and motivation to get back on track and "back in action". If this was easy, we wouldn't need support groups, message boards or follow-up visits. But that isn't reality, truth is that we all need something to help keep us focused and accountable to our weightloss and success post-op and that support comes in many forms (all the above, family, friends, coworkers, etc). Luckily for me, two of my closest friends (hehehe) also had WLS so we can lean on each other or play bad cop when needed in regards to choices, slacking off on vitamins/exercise/etc. But even then, I still use the Meet and Greets as my way to help keep focused and in touch with people from here. When was the last time you attended a M&G or support group? My biggest challenge is finding the energy to walk or exercise after work since I work 6am-3pm these days. But I need to do something or these last pounds will never leave my belly ! Maybe I should walk my dog around a lake each night????? Sounds like a nice idea ! Talk to you soon... Amy P.S. For those of you who didn't know, Tricia is one of my closest friends !

That's the IDEA!!! It's okay if you haven't posted...the important thing is to find a good support system by way of friends and family - however I feel that though they are there - it's not the same thing like finding the family I have in those that are like me...cause only they/you can understand why trials, tribulations ya go through internally like another WLS patient....so we understand what you're talking about and feeling. We all get off track...it's the fat mind always working against us...but if you can at least set yourself to come on a couple times a week and check the boards out...I do it almost daily and feel "emptyish" when I can't find someone to respond to that I can help - cause in the long run that helps me as well. Im glad you're back & trying to get back on track. Its' a constant battle - I have a treadmill at home and even sometimes it's difficult to get on it. You did a good thing to post your feelings - cause we're all in the "same" boat...take care!
