Woo Hoo! It's the middle of the week and the weekend is almost here! Question of the moment: How much sleep do you average each night? Post-Ops, is it more or less than you got before surgery? For myself, pre-op I needed 8-10hr/night and could take a nap at any given time. In fact, I spent most of my weekends napping. Today, I average 5-6 hr/night and can't remember the last time I took a nap. I never would have imagined I could live with less than 8 hr sleep prior to surgery. Plus, sleeping was SO important to me before, now it is just something I do at the end of my day. Weird how that has changed...

I sleep less now...but I blamed old age . I sleep about average of 7 hours per night now, before it was the same but I had to take naps. I hardly ever take a nap now, yesterday I did though. I cleaned the family room and kitchen, unpacked some more...I was dead to the world after that. OH when I do take a nap now, it is a fast one like 10-30 minutes, not 1 1/2 hours to 3 hours. I needed that nap, Monday was non-stop running, Tuesday was cleaning....Wednesday I am now sick. I find I sleep less, do more, nap shorter....all positive things, but I still get sinus issues Tracey

My sleep apnea was soooo bad before that no matter how long I slept I always felt tired although it didn't stop me during the week from going full tilt at work. Now I get about 7 hours a night and feel a lot more rested when I get up. I use to nap a lot more on weekends and that took priority over going out whereas now I'm ready to go!

I used to sleep about seven hours and never take a nap. Now, two months post op, I sleep about eight hours and have some time of "rest" when I get home from work.....not sleeping, but sitting for a few minutes. I think it is lack of caffiene. VIcky
