Amy, I am so sorry that this has happened to you. I am really glad that you have decided to stay on the board though. You never know who you may touch with a message or experience that you post. Amy, I am sorry that you and your MIL are not seeing eye to eye with this. In my family it is my dear aunt whom I love with all my heart. I feel that these people (my aunt in particular) needs education on the procedures because over the years WLS has gotten some negative publicity with people only focusing on the bad things. I also ask that these family members (that love us dearly) walk a day in our shoes and deal with the daily battle of high blood pressure, shortness of breath any other co-morbilities that keep us from functioning as normal adults. I am sorry that you have chosen to close you profile to the public, hopefully you will feel comfortable about opening it again one day. Good Luck on your upcoming surgery Dena T
