Newbie!

Hi I'm in Ft. Laud and am at the very beginning of the process with Dr. Rosenthal at CC Weston. I've noticed there are several folks who've had him as their surgeon here. Very cool. I've had really good interactions with him and his staff so far. I've lurked on OH for several months and finally started posting on the main board (sporatically) a couple weeks ago. I've learned a whole lot from the fine people here. Anyway... hi

Welcome Vanessa, The main board is a very good place to get a lot of different opinions and a lot of good advice. The Florida board is a little slower and a lot more personal. If you find the time to use both of them, you should do great. Good luck on your journey, and if I could offer a couple words of starting advice, take plenty of pictures along the way, and record your entire journey on your profile. Express your feelings, your emotions, your highs and your lows, your accomplishments and your failures. Not only will it help you as you go to look back, it might also help someone else who is coming up behind you. Also read other people's profiles, there is a lot of good information out there on these people's profiles, and it helps you to know that what ever you face, someone else has faced it also. good luck, Steve

Hi Steve! Thanks for the words of advice I've already started recording things in my journal - each appt, etc. I'm not really a picture-posting type person, but I will definitely be taking pics along the way! I find I can spend hours and hours just reading people's profiles. Sheesh, I've learned so much already and I feel like I know so many people here, just from doing that. It must be weird for them when I address them like I've known them for years! *laugh* Everyone here is just so inspirational Venessa
