New to Florida
Hello everyone;
I am flying into Jacksonville on Saturday to look for a job. My son and daugter-in law live in Orange Park (my son is the manager of guess what, a resturant Johnny Corenos).
Does anyone have any suggestions on local headhunters?
I am a new post op as well, so I will be starting a whole new life style with my husband.

I live in Orange Park. Good luck finding a place. Are you looking to buy or rent? They are building SO fast out here it is amazing. Feel free to e mail me privatly if you would like to. [email protected] Suposebly the job market is good in this area. Seems it doesnt take to long to find something with it growing so fast.

I work in the Mandrian area. City Corp has a sign out help wanted. It is near the new Baptist South Hospital.
You did not give us any ideas what type of experience you have or what related fields of work. Some of the local financial institutions use staffing agencies to fill positions. There are several mortgage companies in that area of town as well.

Hi Karen. I live in Jacksonville and am a support group leader here and would love for you to come to our meetings. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month from 10-1 at the Regency Square Library. Let me know when you get here and get settled and we'll keep in touch.
Are you looking to stay in the Orange Park area? And if you'll define "head hunders" for me, I may have a suggestion or two.
I'm banded and didn't read your profile so don't know what kind of surgery you've had but my support group is open to all pre ops, post ops, thinking about it people, friends, family and anybody who wants to attend. You don't have to be there at 10 or stay til 1. Its a come and go as you please type meeting with no guests speakers. We just get together and talk.

Hi Karen,
I hope that your quick trip to Jax was promising.
As one other member posted, there is a group that meets at the Regency Library.
However there is a Post-Op Support Group @ Memorial Hospital Jacksonville. It's open to Pre and Post Ops that had their surgery at the hospital OR anywhere really.
We meet on the second Thursday of each month.
You can call 904-399-6360 and speak to Rhonda Rapp, RN. She is a GB patient herself and is the hospital's coodinator of the Obesity Surgery program. She can give you more information.
