Just wanted everyone to know, I am still alive...I think. We are still moving also. Lets see...been a rollercoaster ride for sure. Ok, I found this house in November, they were redoing it at the time. The managment company said that the cabinets weren't going to be ready til like Christmas so we said ok, 1-1-06 would be a perfect move in date then. Mid December, we signed the contract for the demo of our house and rebuild but that start date was 2-1-06, so we called the management company to inform them of this. Oh they got upset about the 5 cats all of a sudden, and that the house would be ready 1-1 and they need someone in it, blah blah blah. Well my mom said ok give me back all my money keep your 400 and we will find another place, of course they buckled then but we had to give them 10k that day, which we did. Ok fast forward to 2-1....lmao house wasn't done, was a mess. They ripped out carpet in a bedroom and family room and didn't replace it. We even asked them to leave the old stuff in prior to this since we have animals. I was told it would be done that night by 10pm and to start moving in. At 10:30 we show up, doors open, lights on, music blaring, no workers...carpets but no wood floor in family room, garage a mess. 2-2..Moving day 1...4 guys and a big truck. They fill up the truck fast, with boxes and all our beds so we can sleep at new house. Things go sooo smooth, in fact by the time we get to new house at 1pm the wood floor is almost complete and the garage was clean. We unpack a bit but so dead tired. 2-3..Supervisor from day 1 comes but 2 new guys and a smaller truck. The guy said ooooh this is a half of load we will be done fast. Well they filled the truck and we still have stuff at the old house. One of the guys was complaining constantly about hauling baby stuff, meaning stuff not in boxes up stairs. I was uncomfortable in my own new house. The supervisor and him got in a fight about damage to the front steps. He didn't listen when we told him to put something somewhere, he would say Your old man said put it here! 2-4 the 16ft Full POD comes...the guy didn't want to put it where I wanted it, he was just plain lazy. He wanted to just drop it in the middle of the driveway and leave it at that. I said ok my husband will be pi$$ed then...so Troy gets this guy on the phone and yells at him...my POD is where we wanted it Now we still have to unload the POD by Saturday and Sunday we need to rent a small uhaul truck and get the rest of our stuff. Positive things, I really like this house, plenty of storage space. Big yard for the dogs and kids to play in. I like tile floors, I want the wood floors in my old house gone now. People are so nice in Longwood/Lake Mary, pleasant and say good morning to you. I found a really nice lawn guy, so I don't have to worry about the lawn at our old home. The demo is starting 2-13. I finally found my vitamins . Everyone is finally over the flu, I got it after the meet and greet and Nikky got it a day or 2 after me. Seminole County found a great bus route for my son, to school and home. Negative things, I don't like the management company...we keep leaving messages and no call back. Seminole County didn't find a good route for my daughter..I drive to Altamonte every morning to drop her off, so I have to get up earlier and so does Kate. But they are busing her home...she is the only one of a full size school bus. I am fighting with my mom big time now...we don't have enough space away from each other in this house. We are going to get rid of 2 cats..this house can't handle more...I can't handle more. We have to do this again in a year!!!! Ok done with my vent of the week, someday it will all be peachy and then I will probably die the next day, kidding! We still want to do Sea World and Bowling...I am going to need time away from the house soon. Hugs Tracey

Sounds like you and troy need a date night. I will keep the kids one night if you need me to. If you think that will help. We all need to vent from time to time so we will be glad to listen whenever you need us to..... Heather

Thanks Heather...I will keep that in mind. Things are getting better now though, I transfered Nikky to Woodlands so no more driving in the mornings for me and the POD is empty and being picked up tomorrow. I just have to get the rest of the stuff on Sunday now. Tracey

Tracey, First - in case I haven't told you yet - I LOVE your new pic! You're looking good, girlfriend!! Now - WOW! It sounds like you've really been through it lately! I hope things calm down for you soon! If you can get 1 room completely done, pics on the walls, everything just the way you want it, you'll have an oasis to escape to when things get too hectic. This has been my survival guide for our previous moves. Even if that 1 room is a bathroom, just to have 1 space where I could sit and look around and not see 999 things that needed to be done, always calmed my nerves. Don't try to do everything at once. Take your time & you'll get it done eventually. Hang in there & don't forget to take care of yourself! Vickie J.

Thanks Vickie!!! I am still waiting on your new pic being posted. Things are going better, more calm...I have rooms kinda unpacked but there are still boxes in the garage. I told my family this needs to be done so we aren't unpacking and then packing the next month again. Tracey

WHEW!!! I'm exhausted just reading all that and trying to take it all in!! But you sure do look good, Tracey, and it's more important to look good than to feel good (said in my best accent)!!! Take a deep breath!! Jan

Thank you so much Jan! I took in my deep breath and it felt great. I love the rental house, we have bathtubs...I have been taking hot baths every night. I love that I can take the baths but I don't like mirrors anymore. I got use to not being able to see below chest level in the old house. What a scary sight! Tracey
