Surgical Group Of Gainesville Florida?

Hello everyone, I am interested to know if anyone knows about any of the Surgeons in this group Dr. Drient, Dr. Hipp, or Dr. Thoburn? I am looking to maybe use this Surgery Center because it excepts my Insurance and is pretty close to where I live in Georgia. Any info on this group would be a GREAT help! Thank you, Katina

Dr. Thoburn left the practice over a year ago and I don't know Dr. Hipp. Dr. Brient was my surgeon and he is awesome! i can't say enough good about him! Hugs Kim

I highly recommend this surgical group! Dr. Thoborn did my surgery June 2004. Excellent care pre-op and post-op. Excellent staff continues to help me with any questions I have even though I have been released to my general physician now. Dr. Thoburn did leave this group about a year ago to go to a different surgurical field, I believe. He was excellent- very respected and talented. I did see Dr. Bryant (sp?) once - same story. I have had two close friends use this group with excellent experiences. One was a 60 year old man (300 lbs.+) and has lost probably down to 175 lb. I would guess. Another is my friend who is 30 years old, weighed 250 lbs. size 24 down to 150 and size 8. I started at 270 size 26 and have lost down to 185 and size 14. Excellent surgical group!
